“Time and Tide Wait for No Man”~A sculptural desk clock~ “Time and Tide Wait for No Man”~A sculptural desk clock~ May 2004 is the first anniversary of the Old Man of the Mountain disappearing from the great state of New Hampshire. Its legacy has inspired me to create this unique commemorative sculptural timepiece. This distinctive and functional piece of art is made from materials found indigenous to New Hampshire such as Laser-engraved maple, painted birch and hand-cut granite quarried from the Concord NH area. A brass pin demarks approximate location of the Old Man. The quartz timepiece comes with battery included. Dimensions are approximately 3”x8”x101/2” ht. The artist's mark and date are personally applied to each piece. Native New Hampshire artist Fred Puksta, designs and crafts sculptural clocks and unique furniture designs for private, corporate and public installations.
